Data Processing for Fundraising Purposes
As a fundraising organisation we carry out targeted fundraising activity, and as part of our new major donor fundraising activities we will undertake research into supporters and prospective supporters who may have an interest in, and financial ability to, support our work. We may also use trusted external screening/profiling companies such as ‘Factary’ and/or ‘Prospecting for Gold’ to undertake this research.
This research will compare the information held on our own database with publicly available information such as listed Directorships or trusteeships, ‘Rich Lists’, donations to other organisations and measures of affluence such as typical earnings in a given profession. This helps us to target our communications in a more focused, personalised and cost effective way by giving us greater insight into what donors and prospective donors may find interesting and the level of support they may be able to provide.
You will always have the right to opt out of this processing. Please contact info@scottishdocinstitute.com if you have any questions or would prefer that we did not use your details in this way.
